Una experiencia con sonidos traslúcidos_

El sonido producido por William Cruz Ruiz y José “Gato” Rodríguez, SACH como proyecto de música original puertorriqueña, ciertamente representa lo diferente y lo único. De igual forma, representa al País en sonidos de vanguardia como lo es la música electro-jazz, que requiere talentos como el fluir naturalmente en el arte de la improvisación, y el inmiscuirse en tonos propios de la música funk, electrónica y jazz fusión. La diversidad es la sazón de la astucia y la creatividad de nuestro pueblo para siempre levantarse de las maneras más originales y culturalmente impactantes como la historia precede. Este álbum hace la debida contribución de representar una nueva era en la música popular puertorriqueña, donde no hay límites en combinar, contrastar y provocar.

No hay que ir más lejos que la propia “Introducción” de este álbum para dar cuenta del augurio de que la fiesta no sólo estará buena, sino que estará a cargo de músicos tan apasionados como invocados por su arte. Siempre manteniendo elementos cálidos y caribeños, el proyecto logra adecuar una amplia gama de tonos para pintar con sonido tanto una jungla tropical, una playa o río, así como también una calle de Río Piedras bien encendía o un bar nocturno en el que las pasiones de la noche se autoproclamen escritoras de nuestros destinos. Los ritmos cautivan y transportan nuestros cuerpos a encontrarse en la música.

La experiencia del performance de SACH en vivo, permite constatar la maestría de William en aumentar la realidad a otro plano mediante el uso de sintetizadores, mientras que el show continúa con el amarre contagioso del bajo y la magistral persecución percusiva de “Gato”. Visuales y proyecciones de imágenes abstractas y coloridas, contribuyen a transmitir el mood correcto mientras la interpretación performativa de estos temas estelariza cualquier tipo de escenario. Pero de repente, en pistas como “Futurist” o “Afronic”, el bajo y los sintetizadores llevan a una introspección que parece encender la mecha del proceso de individuación en plena pista. Nos transporta a otras esferas de nuestro ser y nos invita a compartirlas con otros. Las experiencias de vida varían y las subjetividades de nuestras vidas mediarán en cómo nuestros cuerpos reaccionen a una dimensión nueva de sonido cuando llegan voces humanas a narrar el viaje musical, pero el baile tiende a triunfar sobre otros impulsos. Compartir, fluir y dejarse llevar son las únicas reglas.

Experience through Translucent Sounds_

SACH’s music invokes jungles, palm trees, rivers, psychedelic colors, dance, rhythm and an overall explosion of tastes. The Intro to this artistic proposal, not only ensures the audience that the party is about to get lit, but ensures us as well that it’s in charge of passionate musicians living through their art. While maintaining a warmness proper of its Caribbean identity, a wide array of tones give way to the passions and moods of the night.

All of a sudden, tracks such as “Futurist” or “Afronic”, both bass and synthesizers lead us to an introspection that seems to light the flame of the process of individuation in the middle of the dance floor. The listener gets carried into other spheres of our being and feels the need to share his experience with others. Responses may vary because life experiences are different, but dance seems to triumph over other impulses. Sharing, flowing and letting go are the only rules. Experiencing SACH’s music live, is a window to navigate through William’s mastery in augmenting reality to another plane through the use of synthesizers while the show goes on with the bass contagious mooring and Gato’s percussive magic taking place.

SACH as an original Puerto Rican project, represents the different and the unique, but also represents the country with its breakthrough sounds in electro-jazz music. Diversity is the spice of the wisdom and creativity of our people to always rise up in the most inventive and culturally significant ways, just like our history suggests.
